 Hopewell Bell Tower Restoration (2005)

The Oxford Area Historical Association has a mandate to preserve and restore artifacts with local historical importance, and thus has taken on the Hopewell Bell Tower Restoration Project.  This project will restore and incorporate the remaining original pieces including the bell, cupola roof, spire, finial, columns, date stone and brick into a freestanding, functional bell tower at the corner of theJordan Bank School playground, where the Hopewell School once stood.

Evan Pugh Historical Marker (2003)

Honoring Evan Pugh at the school that bears the name of his first teaching venture is an opportunity the Oxford Area Historical Association wasted no time in delving into.  When John Bradley mentioned at one of the OAHA Board meetings that the marker was missing, we went on a mission to identify what had happened and what we could do about it.
