Faye R. Doyle, MD  (President)
Dr. Doyle was born in Briceville, Tennesse and moved to Pennsylvania in 1931.  She graduated from Oxford High School in 1946, Maryville College, Tennesse, in 1950, and Temple University School of Medicine in 1954.  She is married and has four children.  She was a family physician with her father, Dr. Fount Robinson, and husband, Dr. Russell G. Doyle until retirement in 1993.  At that time she joined the Oxford Historic Commission.  Realizing she had an interest in local history, she encouraged the formation of OAHA.  She maintains their records, oversees their activity and maintains a small collection of local historical records for reference.  She assists with OHS Emeritus Association luncheon arrangements.  Other interests besides history are skiing, canoeing, and mountain biking.

John T. Bradley (Vice-President)
Mr. Bradley was born in Lancaster and graduated from Manheim Township High School in Lancaster and now resides in Drumore Township in Lancaster County with his wife Dorcia.  They have one daughter, Cristie, who lives in Tilbury, Essex, England with her husband, Stuart and their daughters Gwyneth and Paige; and another daughter, Hadley, who lives in Providence, Rhode Island where she is doing post-doctoral research at Brown University Medical School.  Mr. Bradley is a social studies teacher at Oxford Area High School and also volunteers for the Ephrata Cloister Associates.  He enjoys historical research and writing.  These two interests have come together in his books Milton Walker: Builder of Oxford (1987) and The Dickey Family And The Growth Of Oxford and Hopewell (1990).  He also has written on local history for The Oxford Tribune.

Malinda Alderman (Secretary)
Malinda Powers Alderman was born October 28, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia.  Alderman spent her childhood in Advance, N.C., graduating from Davie High School in 1986.  She earned a B.A. in psychology from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. in 1990.  Alderman and husband John have lived in the Oxford Borough since 1996.  They have three children, daughters Connor and Leslie, and son Andrew.  Alderman currently works part-time as a dental laboratory technician, but enjoys most of her time as a stay-at-home mom.  Her hobbies include horseback riding, gardening, and scrapbooking.  Alderman has served as OAHA secretary since 2002.

Frances D. Jackson
Born as Frances E. Janney in New London Township.  Moved to Lewisville, Elk Township, lived there 24 years.  Lived in South Carolina and Germany two years.  Built present home in Lower Oxford township in 1958.  Married twice, both deceased.  Issue three sons, two surviving, and five grandchildren.  Full eight years in one-room school in Lewisville; graduated class of 1949 Oxford High School.  As vice president, scheduled reunions for 50 years.  Employed in IBM department of Chrysler Corp. Newark, DE for six years.  Was vacation supply in IBM sections for DuPont and Chrysler in summer of 1955.  Locally have worked at the Fonex in Hopewell, Sinclair Office in Oxford, Oxford-Nottingham School health records officee, Oxford Library, Walton Chevrolet and Oldsmobile as bookkeeper.  Leader of Brownie Troop 240, later Neighborhood Chairperson of Freedom Valley Girl Scouts.  Former member Research Club.  Owned The Gnome Shop in Lower Oxford.  Member of St. Johns Methodist Church and Oxford Presbyterian Church.  Recently co-compiled History of St. Johns and a directory of that church.  Compiled the cookbook at OPC in 1975.  Lead the Janney family reunions for 35 years and co-compiled the Family History in 1968 and 1996.  Enjoys computers, copiers, photography and genealogy.

Vivian C. Miller 
Vivian Cook Miller was born in West Chester and currently resides in Upper Oxford Township.  She is married to Cecil Miller, Jr. and they have two daughters and a son who have given them two grandsons and a granddaughter.  Vivian is the owner of Trans-Data, a medical/legal/technical transcription service.  She is also the chairman of the Upper Oxford Township Historic Commission.  Member, Friends of the Oxford Public Library. Involved with preserving local historian Frank Peters' Papers. Instrumental in getting "Around The Oak" reprinted as a fund raiser for the Library. Former Board Member of Kennett High School Alumni Association and served on the Historical Committee, which was associated with founding the History Center in Kennett Square, and Fund Raising Committee. Member of Class Reunion Committee. Associate Member of New Garden Historic Commission. Interests: Local History and Genealogy. Migration of populace from Ashe County, N.C. to the immediate area. Theater, Music, Dance, People. Can provide programs relating to villages, mills, schools, covered bridges, cemeteries in Upper Oxford Township.

Edie H. Sumner
A lifelong resident of the area, Edith received her B.S. in Education from the University of Delaware.  She and her husband, Martin, had a custom home building business in Oxford from 1963 until 1995.  She has organized various Christmas House Tours in the area, one of which was a historical homes of Oxford tour.  She has 2 children and 3 grandchildren and is active in her church, the Oxford Church of the Nazarene.

Harold Swisher

Kent Vendrick
Mr. Vendrick was born in Chester, PA. He spent most of his school years in Delaware, graduating from John Bassett Moore High School in Smyrna, and getting a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Delaware. Kent now resides with his wife, Debbie and three children, Alison, Christopher and Matthew in a passive solar house that he designed and built in Hickory Hill, Elk township, and has given a talk on its covered bridges at a recent OAHA meeting there. He works as a mechanical engineer for W. L. Gore & Associates in Elkton, MD. As the past chairperson of the Delaware Solar Energy Association, Kent’s projects included the statewide Sun Day celebrations, and Passive Solar Design workshops for both homeowners and architects through Delaware Technical & Community College. His lifelong interest in historical research and restoration was rekindled during his restoration of the family’s 1907 American Foursquare home in North Wildwood, NJ. Kent initially tackled the restoration of the 1867 bell used on both the Union and Hopewell Schools, to be used as a centerpiece of the graduation celebration for his twins in 2000. He presently is leading the Hopewell Bell Tower Restoration Project, which will bring the sound of this bell back to the town of Oxford. Some of Kent’s other interests include automobiles (1949 Chevy pick-up, 2004 Prius hybrid), art, and haunted houses.
